152 – 4 Day Sacred Valley to Cusco Package Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Cusco no later than 9:00 am**, you will then be picked up and transported to Ollantaytambo making several stops on the way. Your first stop of the day will be the Cochahuasi Animal Sanctuary, here you will see many different Peruvian animals including the Andean Condor. Your next stop will be the archaeological site of Pisac where you can hire a guide or explore the site on your own. Next you will visit the Inkariy Museum, here you will see exhibits centered around 8 different Peruvian cultures, starting with the Caral and finishing with the Inka. Your last stop is Ollantaytambo where you will check into your hotel before having time to visit the archaeological site, you will then have the remainder of the day to explore the town.
Day 2 – After an early breakfast you will have to be at the train station by 05:40 am for your 06:10 am train departure to Aguas Calientes, upon arrival in Aguas Calientes you will proceed to the bus station where you will board a bus that will take you to the Machu Picchu entrance. Once at the entrance you can Hire a guide or enter the site and explore the ancient citadel on your own. At the end of the day you will have to be at the train station by 5:50 pm to board your 6:20 pm train, the train will take you back to Ollantaytambo where you will return to your hotel for your last night in the Sacred Valley.
Day 3 – After breakfast today you will be picked up in the plaza at 9:00 am to start your journey back to Cusco making several stops on the way. Your first stop will be Moray, which is believed to have been an Inca agricultural lab and offers unique circular terraces, after Moray you will then continue on to the Salt Mines of Maras, where salt is believed to have been harvested since pre-Inca times. Your final stop before reaching Cusco will be Chinchero, this is an Andean weaving community where you will visit a local weaving cooperative and be shown the traditional process of spinning, dying and weaving, after which you will visit the local church and terraces. You will finish the day arriving in Cusco and checking into your hotel, after which you will have the remainder of the evening to explore this Inka capital.
Day 4 – Morning breakfast followed by transfer to the airport or bus station.
