Day 1 – Arrival in Cusco at any time, you will then be picked up and transported to your accommodation for check in, after checking into your accommodation you will need to visit the agency office for a short briefing regarding your tour and trek, you will then have the remainder of the day to relax or explore Cusco on your own.

Day 2 – Today you will be able to sleep in a bit if you want, or you can explore the city of Cusco, making sure to return to your accommodation by 12:30 pm. You will then be picked up between 12:30 pm and 1:15 pm for the start of your ½ day city tour. During this tour you will visit the main Cathedral and then Qorikancha before taking a bus up to the sites overlooking the City, Saqsaywaman which contains some of the largest stones used in any Inka construction, Q’enqo a funerary center, Pucapucara which was a fort, and Tambomachay which is known as the Inca baths. After your tour you will be dropped off back in Cusco at approximately 6:30 pm

Day 3 – Today you will be pick up between 07:30 am & 08:00 am and be driven down into the Sacred Valley and through Ollantaytambo, where you will start the ride to the top of the pass, when you reach the top (Abra Malaga 4,300 m) you will stop and change into the supplied biking gear and receive a safety briefing before starting the decent in to the valley by bike. The decent (about 3 hours) will take you down through a changing landscape and approximately 1,000 meters in elevation, ending near Wamanmarka where you will then board a bus/van that will transport you to Santa Maria where you will check into the hostal, have lunch and Dinner, as well as have time to enjoy the local hot springs.

River Rafting is an optional activity this day, the rafting is approximately 2 hours and the difficulty can vary depending on the season, and may not be available if to rough.

Day 4 – You will wake up at around 06:00 am and enjoy breakfast at about 06:30 am before starting your hike, which gets progressively steeper and eventually connects with a traditional Inca Trail, this winds around precipitous slopes and sheer drops for approximately half a mile. The trail continues until you reach Qellomayo, a small town where you will stop and have lunch. From Qellomayo, it is a short walk until you reach Santa Teresa where you will spend the night at another family run hostel and sleep in either single, double or triple rooms*.

Day 5 – After breakfast in the morning you will start the hike to Hydro Electrica, this section will take approximately 3 hours and follows an unpaved trail. Once at Hydro Electrica you will enjoy lunch before departing for Aguas Calientes, this time following the train tracks for most of the 3 hours that it will take to reach Aguas Calientes. In Aguas Calientes you will check into another hostal for the night , have dinner and can relax in the hot springs.

Today there is an option for a Zip-Line tour, this takes place after breakfast and would eliminate the first 3 hour section of hiking, as you will be transported to Hydro Electrica by car/van after the activity.

Day 6 – Today you will have two options, you can hike up to the Machu Picchu entrance, starting at 04:20 am, or you can take the optional shuttle bus, in either case you will need to be at the entrance by 06:00 am to start the guided tour of the “Lost City of the Inkas” which will last for approximately 2 hours, following the tour you will have free time to explore the ancient city before having to return to Aguas Calientes in time to catch your 6:20 pm train back to Ollantaytambo, where you will then be taken by bus back to Cusco arriving at about 10:00 pm.

Day 7 – Morning breakfast followed by transfer to the airport or bus station for your departure.
